Is it possible to take 4K video instead of pictures and pull the frames out of the video with 3rd party software to make maps. This would allow us to give the client both video and maps with no extra flights.
Video frame grabs are far too compressed to be useful in creating accurate maps. We are considering adding a video capture mode for people that want to do it but you can't take pictures while taking a single video file in the DJI SDK so both cannot be done at the same time.

In theory this would enable faster flights. 30 frames per second in 4K we could fly much faster for quick maps with lower quality.
What you are describing is just video, not video and pictures. While it is possible to use resolution reduced frame grabs out of video, the reduction factor tends to be 4:1 which would then make the vertical accuracy numbers pretty bad. There may be other softwares that will allow video inputs, but we prefer not to due to the loss in quality.
Currently, automated flight is limited to 15 m/s with the DJI SDK, so adding a super fast frame rate won't actually help too much.
