Use custom DEM for terrain awareness

Is it correct that only DEMs processed in MME can be used as custom DEM for terrain awareness? I have a number of DEMs from previous missions that I want to use to improve the terrain following over recently changed terrain in future flights. I don't need any other processing of these sites at present, just the custom DEM.

Actually I see there is a process documented at https://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021867012-Arbitrary-DEM-Preparation-for-use-as-a-Custom-Terrain-Source for this, so my remaining question is have you implemented the DEM conversion function into the software yet or does it still need a command line instruction?
