Uploading problem

I am trying to upload mp4 and pdf files to a college admissions website. But the uploads fail every time and it says, "Received an empty or invalid response from the server." Any ideas on how to fix this? I have a deadline coming up, so I really need to figure this out pronto. I am using a mac computer.

I hope you are not trying to upload mp4 and pdf files to our site because that isn't going to work. As a college student you will likely need to be able to follow directions and search for answers in appropriate locations. Posting on a random company's support forum for an unrelated site is not a good start...
