Georeferenced PDF as a base map?

Has there ever been consideration to use a georeferenced PDF as a base map in Map Pilot?  This would be something very similar to Avenza.   These type of maps have proven to be very useful in sharing information quickly.  While Map Box and KML support have proven very useful for me, I believe a highly customized georeferenced PDF could be even more useful in the field.   I hope you may consider this in future updates.
