Map Pilot Pro Compatibility with Mavic 2 Zoom RC1B controller

Unfortunately my Mavic 2 Zoom came with the Smart Controller, which apparently is not supported since it is unable to be updated past android 7. If I purchase an RC1B and connect it to my s22 Ultra, if that even fits in the frame, the phone is running android 14. Would this still work? Anyone have current experience with a similar set up?
