Can you fix the file transfer lockup that occurs on image download?

An explanation for this problem is "you have a bad or marginal internet connection".

This may be true but still at the end of transfer the two files will be lost.

Also, is it possible that the file transfer algorithm (having three active picture images being transferred at a time) is contributing to the problem.

There is no retry function ... just a cancel. The files are good, not corrupt.

Can you add a "cancel and retry" button or just transfer one file at a time?

Or just monitor file transfer and if the file transfer hangs up give it a couple of upload retries?

Here is a screen shot of your upload window showing the problem. Transferring 203 files to your server. After several transfers two files hangup at 4% and 1% of transfer complete. The rest of the files are transferred down 1 at a time. At the end of transfer the two lockup files remain and must be cancelled (lost) to continue.

We have to walk a file line between serving people that have good internet connections and offering them the fastest uploads possible while still being able to support poor connections. Being that our service relies heavily on internet usage we have to make certain assumptions about connectivity.

We will look into enabling a retry button or limiting the number of concurrent uploads but we are using a 3rd party library for handling our uploads and we can only change so much.

Big upgrades to the uploader and upload server infrastructure were made today. Upload endpoints have been moved to the closest server to the user's location (instead of Northern California). We are also now accounting for clock drift to combat the client's browser time being different from the server's time. These changes should make the uploads faster, the connections more robust and keep the upload path valid.
