My photos are overexposed

I am using the Map Pilot app for commercial survey mapping. The first few jobs I have flown all have had overexposed photos. We have been keeping the setting to "auto" rather than the "cloudy" or "sunny" setting. Is there anything I can do to help the photo exposure either with the DJI Go app or with settings in the Map Pilot app? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
