Polygon Area Not Recalculating

When drawling a polygon and using the area calculation, upon editing the area is not being updated as it did in the past. Is there a way to get the shape to recalculate area?

The modifications need to be made in the Map Detail page, not the full screen view.

The large map view will not do this but the small map view will.
