Import .kml files into Map Pilot Pro

I have tried to import a .KML file into Map Pilot Pro and not been able to see the boundary lines for the flight plan.   I initially tried to open the .kml file in Map Pilot Pro and got a message that the file was unable to be imported because it is not in the Map Pilot Pro Documents folder..

I then copied the file into the documents folder and was able to see the file in the Map Pilot Pro file manager, but when I opened the file the boundary was not on the screen.  

I was able to use this feature in the Business version to accurately lay out flight plans on Google Earth and import to Map Pilot Business.
