Terrain data caching?

I tried out the Terrain Awareness today and it work beautifully!  I am getting ready to do a large road corridor project with lots of elevation changes and it's way out in the hinterland.  I am concerned about having a good cell connection out there - is there any way to cache the terrain data?

The terrain data gets cached when it is viewed. If you want to make sure you have the terrain data when you get out in the field do a terrain aware layout before leaving your internet connection and it will be there later.

Zane, the TA documentation says: ". When "Yes" is selected, one final profile look up will be executed along the path."

Does this profile look up require a connection to the internet?

The terrain data gets cached when it is viewed. It does not require an internet connection again once it has been cached.

Glad to get confirmation that an internet connection is NOT required at this step.

How about an explanation of this: "one final profile look up will be executed along the path."

What does this mean?

Thanks

"one final profile look up will be executed along the path." means that it is going to check everything and present it to the pilot for one last check. At this point it is looking up the elevation profile from locally saved data.
