Do I need to take a photo at the takeoff point if I'm going to shoot the Job manually? I would use a 50% overlap It's a 30x90' pond. And shoreline. Any other instructions for this?

If you are shooting manually, yes, taking a ground reference image manually at the takeoff location would be a good idea.

What is not a good idea is using 50% overlap. At least 75% overlap should be used per the Data Collection guidelines:
