Thermal Flat Map

I used a DJI M3T drone to take photos of this roof. I loaded it as a flat map, but it appears that there is major distortion, which appears to be from elevation issues. The mission was flown at one elevation so not sure what the issue is here. I processed these images in another platform and it shows elevation differences from photo to photo when I modeled it in 3D.

Flat Maps are created based on the camera's pointing angles and the camera's intersection with the earth. So getting a proper intersection with the top of a building is going to be slightly off. It helps to fly slowly and take all images while traveling the same speed.

You need to set the isothermal limits to keep the color temperature mapping the same throughout the data set.

We don't offer thermal image photogrammetry.

I did all of that as well as flying at 5MPH since I did this at night.

I was curious because I am seeing conflicting things here...I see that the flat maps feature says it can stitch a thermal flat map.  But then the response above says thermal image photogrammetry isn't available. The instructions are lacking.

Can you tell us how to create a thermal flat map? All I keep getting is errors. Thank you
