There is no free way to do it but you could purchase the "Cameraless Takeoff" option in the Map Pilot column of the Upgrade page. This would allow you to take off without a DJI camera attached. Or you could just fly with a DJI camera along with your custom sensor while using Map Pilot Lite (free).
