Map Pilot Pro now has a DJI Lock & Sign-in prompt... Frustrating

Missions converted from Map Pilot Business to Pilot Pro.

Loaded mission that I've been using for long time at construction site. Exploring MPP as a new User, moving from MP Business. I was examining various Icons and features. Getting this mission ready to fly, I pushed an ICON on the Lower Left Margin that was something about a DJI Lock. This presented a screen to enter a phone number and "call"? I backed out of screen, and was able to complete flight by not selecting this Icon or feature.

This appeared to prompt me to acknowledge a DJI Lock zone that I don't get with Go4App or other Apps. Only with Map Pilot Pro, why? Why is MPP even interfaced with DJI NFZ or Locks if DJI Apps are not?

I Believe this "may" surface from a retired Jail that was closed 5-7 yrs ago but still showed up in DJI NFZ in 2021. I made several calls & emails validating the location was false and worked with DJI. It stopped being a problem on DJI Apps. But looks to exist on the MPP.

In addition, I have an alternate Inspire 2 that has the NLD unlock that doesn't receive DJI NFZ locks or warnings. I tried MPP on this Inspire 2 as well with same results. Still able to fly, but had the Icon to call DJI.

It was sunny and I was rushed, so took minimal time to examine and proceeded to complete the flight. What was this section of MPP, I don't see it in your manual guide and Can't seem to duplicate from home? Second, what is this preventing within MPP and my interaction with MPP if I was still able to fly? Third, can this feature be disabled or turned off.

The NFZ stuff has been there for years.

Anytime you are going to fly in a new location you need to check that spot out on DJI's FlySafe site and take the appropriate steps to access the airspace.

Waypoint flights are typically handled differently that just flying around manually.

There may be a discrepancy between what the DJI apps are using as a data source and what they are providing to 3rd party apps. Please email us with the coordinates of the location and we can try to see what is going on.

First time I've had this issue with MME products, same missions on previous versions and I didn't ever see this occur. I'm not flying a "new" location... I'm flying an old mission that was a regular flight for last 18 months, and mission was brought over from Pilot Business app to Pilot Pro (1st Flight on Pro).

I don't see why MME should attempt to respect DJI's NFZ if the Craft is not restricted by DJI, nor is it a FFA restriction. My Understanding is the NFZ blocks are on the Craft, not the App. If the Craft is not being blocked, why is MME attempting to request an Unlock.

In addition, If I'm now using an Inspire 2 or Mavic2Pro with NoLimitDronze patch that unlocks all DJI imposed restrictions the "craft" is not blocked or restricted. It's like flying an Autel or other brand that doesn't apply DJI NFZ.

On a different tangent... I backed out of the Unlock request screen on Pilot Pro App and was able to start and perform mission. It oddly didn't show aircraft location or captured images on grid. Landed, edited Mission (opened in edit, made no changes) and Saved... restarted Mission and all worked correctly for image capture.

Although the Pilot Pro Unlock screen was still showing the same Unlock request. My Main Question is, if I'm able to fly the mission, capture images... is that Unlock Screen effecting anything for my missions?

Whether you can fly a waypoint mission at that location or not is handled by the aircraft. The database of the NFZs is managed on the aircraft. Map Pilot Pro displays this information and syncs with your DJI FlySafe account to show which NFZs are unlocked and which ones are not.

I am not aware of the "unlocked aircraft" scenario and how it applies to the aircraft's NFZs and list of unlocked zones. If the aircraft were unlocked I would assume that it would report all zones as being unlocked. Map Pilot Pro has not way of knowing that things are unlocked otherwise.

Can you post a screenshot of what you seeing when you say "Unlock request screen on Pilot Pro App"?

This is how the NFZ system works:

The user will recieve a NFZ warning when they try to take off, assuming there is one.
The user can check out surround NFZ information by opening up the NFZ panel on the left hand side. This will prompt a DJI log in (with phone number to verify DJI account) if they are not logged in.
Logging in will sync unlocked zones from your DJI account.
The user needs to make sure that all NFZs they cross in to or near are cleared to fly.

Backing out of the DJI login is allowed. I think you may only have been able to actually fly because of your "unlocked" aircraft.

Map Pilot just asks the drone to take off, and the drone will say yes or no.

That's how I was assuming as well, although the oddity is step 2.

My practice is to always open Go4 app first, my login to DJI is maintained... not required to relog into DJI, I can open the GO4app sync section and it's showing I'm logged into DJI account.

Next, close the GO4 app, open Pilot App. That's odd it continues to show the login prompt. Although thanks for clarification, I wasn't exactly sure what the phone number prompt was... it looked like it may use phone number for DJI to call-back. My error in understanding that screen... again first time I've seen it on Pilot app. Next time, I may experiment and enter phone and complete screen.

YES, I'll capture a screen shot next time of the unlock screen too.

Ok, if it doesn't restrain any function or feature on NLD Unlocked DJI Crafts, then I'll just ignore it going forward.
