Drone won't start after uploading mission with Map Pilot

I am using DJI Phantom 3 Pro with iphone xs max.

When I upload the mission to the drone, the mission timer start counting but the drone did not response.

1) I used DJI go app to check the drone status, fly up and landed.

2) I turned off the drone, the controller and quit the app.

3) I turned on the controller and start the Map Pilot app.

4) I turned on the drone and uploaded the mission.

5) I started the mission but nothing happened. Drone stayed on ground, no motor started.

6) I quit everything, restart the drone.  Use the DJI app again, the motors won't warm up with a message saying IMU initialization.

7) Not able to use both apps unless everything turned off for an hour.

We no longer explicitly test with the Phantom 3 aircraft but I can verify that lots of people are using it successfully with the most recent version of the app (4.0.6).

Waypoint flight is different than normal flight. The ability to take off and land manually is about half of the picture.

The IMU initialization warning that occurs in DJI Go is a bit concerning though and is a sign of a hardware issue.

You are never supposed to use two apps at a time. Ever. Unless you do not really like your aircraft very much and are trying to lose it you should only ever run one drone related app at a time.

Michaella: based on everything you were telling me in your emails about it kicking out of the programmed flight mode it is hardware related. Map Pilot cannot kick the aircraft out of programmed flight mode. It is not possible to do with the DJI SDK.

As noted in our emails, we recommended that you look at the log files to check for errors. The DJI Diagnostic column has the flight errors and the App Warning column has the sensor errors. I just pulled one of your logs and it has a TON of Vision System errors that say " VisionSys: Dangerous / VisionSys: Dangerous". More than we have ever seen before. That's bad and is likely the issue. All of your recent flights have that.

I am having the same issue!!

If what you described above doesn't happen, then my drone will get 5 feet in the air and just hover and won't do anything.
I spoke with maps made easy and they told me it was my drone. So I talked to DJI support and did ALL the trouble shooting and they thing it is maps made easy.....

It's very frustrating.

Thank you Zane for your information and suggestion.

I had been using the drone with both apps for more than 2 years.  It seems not a critical issue until this year.  I was able to use the programmed flight path with Map Pilot app this week when I switched DJI to Map pilot for the first time.  However, after landed, it won't started again with the second programmed flight path with Map Pilot.

I will check the DJI flight log and see if i could come up with some solution.

Mang: You should not be getting DJI Flight logs while you are flying with Map Pilot. DJI Go should be FULLY CLOSED. If you would like us to look at your Map Pilot flight logs you can send them to mapping@dronesmadeeasy.com

Please take a screenshot of any warnings or errors you are seeing so we can try to help.
