Mavic 2 Zoom wont upload or fly mission

I believe I did everything properly but I get a "not connected" error. Map Pilot recognizes my Mavic 2 Zoom but then says it detects the controller but not the drone. Everything is woking FINE with the drone, controller etc but map quest doesn't see it. Any ideas? My drone flies fine with DJI app and Litchi but maps made easy app is a no go. Starting to feel like it was a waste of money to be honest. I'm using an I-Pad mini 4 cable from tablet to the larger usb connection at the bottom of the controller and my cell phone wifi hot spot. Map pilot won't upload. mission to drone and the takeoff icon is greyed out. I can use DJI go 4 and Litchi just fine and even stream video on Facebook live. I have ZERO problems with this drone except with the maps made easy software.

Would really like to use this software if it's actually possible.
