New guy questions

Hello all, 

I plan to purchase the app  and some "points" in order to build a orthophoto of an archaeological site. In order to do that i need to fly above 150 meter altitude , the area is large and for sure will use more than 1 battery, i have few questions:

1- drone will automatically land , and as soon i change battery will re take off and continue the mission?

2- does the drone need to be with strong signal all the time , or the drone can be autonomous? what happens if the signal turns week or lost in a period, drone will come back or finish the mission? pictures will be taken anyways?

3-as soon i upload the pictures taken by drone , your output will be a 2d model, Orthophoto, 3d Mesh, etc? 

4- app notes say that is Firmware v1.7.0060 compatible , its compatible with firmware version v1.8.80 also?

5-typically how long it takes you to provide the output results?

Hi Carlos. In the future please try to ask you questions one at a time for better searchability for other users.

1. Yep! You have to tell it to take off again, it doesn't do it automatically.

2. Yes. Maintaining a strong signal is important for Map Pilot use so we can adjust the timing of the images. If the connection is lost the aircraft will continue along the planned flight but not take any imagesl

3. Yes. 3D model, sharable web map GeoTiff orthophoto and KMZ files are generated.

4. The new versions of firmware are OK to use. They update things so quickly it can be pretty hard to keep up in all the docs.

5. This depends on size. Small jobs take 30 minutes to an hour. Big ones can take over a day to process.
