Flying below take off level

In the Terrain Awareness support page it shows flying missions below take off level.

However when I today 21 Sept 2023 tried to fly a mission with a DJI Air 2S going below take off level, Map Pilot stopped my drone at my take off level.  I see conflicting opinions online regarding whether DJI waypoint flights can fly below take off level.  Please advise.

Waypoints can be flown below the takeoff level. But... The Air 2S does not use waypoints. It uses Virtual Stick controls and they are limited in various ways for safety reasons since the flight control is dependent on the RC signal connection.

Thank you, Zane. So the definitive answer is that the Air 2S cannot fly missions below take off level. Please confirm my understanding. I also have a Phantom 3 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro.  Will these operate below take off elevantion.  Also, it may help many others to make these aircraft distinctions clear on your Terrain Awareness page. I am on a geological job in northern British Columbia and seriously compromised by this unexpected restriction after flying many other missions successfully with Map Pilot Pro. Thanks again. Clinton

Try it on the simulator and see what it does. I don't think we limit that but I could see why we might have. It is not called out anywhere that it isn't supported. You said in your original post that Map Pilot Pro stopped it so I guess there is your answer.
