OK; I’m progressing; I have a Phantom 3p and an Inspire 1 v2 . I want to buy an iPad mini 2 and want to know if the 32 gig is big enough to hold the data points for say a 300acre job? Thanks Dave I’ll order it; download the mapping and pilot programs and go try them out. |

I've done several 400 acres sites with 80%front and 70% sidelap using terrain awareness on a 32 gig Ipad Mini 2. I do split the job sites down into 2 pieces. I found with terrain aware if the job is too big the app can't keep up taking pictures.
The iPad Mini 2 is getting a bit old at this point. Map Pilot's capabilities require a lot of CPU and newer devices should be used when possible. We will be offering a low CPU switch in a future release to address these issues.
Would second that re ipad 2 mini, in my experience it simply isn't fast enough to work reliably. Ipad air 2 or newer iphone better..
