stockpile measurement

Hi - I own a small quarry and am considering better tools for measuring inventory. We currently just estimate the pile size by pacing off the area and measuring the height (not very accurate). We don't this to be perfect but would like to start doing something more accurate and consistent without investing a great deal. It looks like Maps Made Easy might be a good choice but never having done this we would like some advice on which drone we should consider purchasing and anything else you would advise to get started. Our stock pile site is only about 20 acres with 6 - 8 stockpiles. Thanks, Chris

That is a perfect size for using drones to map this out and you might not even have to pay depending on how high you fly.

Doing it using our volume measurement tool will be a lot more accurate than pacing it out!

I would recommend using the Mavic 2 Pro or Phantom 4 Adv (which we have as a refurb on our site for $949). If you purchase from Drones Made Easy you get twice as much free processing so that might be your only cost. I recommend using Map Pilot Lite to collect your data at 80% overlap from about 60 meters.
