KML file import issue

Good Day

I hope someone can help me.

Im trying to import a KML file from email to Map Pilot Business and when i follow the steps, link below

https://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/211429163?page=1#comments

It does not give me the "copy to Map Pilot" option. Now ive read the forums and saw that there was an issue with apple's updates that might cause the issue but the comments are quite old. Maybe im missing something.

Has this issue been resolved yet? Please help!!!

This is almost universally a KML formatting issue. Please send us the KML file so we can take a look (mapping@dronesmadeeasy.com). The newest versions of Map Pilot handle the case where there is no "style" applied to the KML features. This is something that is done by whatever software is generating the files.

Make sure your KML doesn't have a bunch of nested features.

We hope to release a new version of Map Pilot Business in the next couple of weeks once all these iOS 13 changes settle down.

Thank you for getting back to me ill send you the kml file. The weird thing is that i used the same kml file on a different ipad with map pilot and it worked and when i bought the app for our business it does not work. So i was doing research and tried everything and maybe there is a setting on the ipad or the app that i must set that im missing or is it just the IOS that is the main issue?

This KML file has things in folders which cannot be opened by Map Pilot. All features have to be top level. The good news is that you can edit the KML by dragging each features to the top level folder and resaving it as a KML file.

Drag things out of their folders and drop them right in Test 3.kml

Like this:

Resave it as a new KML and it will open in Map Pilot.
