My MapsMade Easy map is misaligned with the base map.

I processed a simple (151 images) map a few days ago and the output is misaligned with the base map when I view the Map Detail online. Can I fix this?

Yep. You need to create 5 or 6 GCPs (fixed features on the ground that are present in both the basemap and the processed map).

You can read more about Manual Realignment here:

That being said, the flight trace looks like crap... Was it windy? You are using super high overlap (unnecessarily so) which I am sure slowed the flight down a ton. This makes it more susceptible to winds. Erratic flight makes for erratic data. You might have something going on with your GPS or something.

It does look like you had some wind related errors:

Yes. Hide the processed map using the layer controls in the upper right of the map. The right click on some features that are fixed and present in both the basemap and the processed map. Use those coordinate values in the CSV formatted GCP file. Make sure it is EXACTLY as it is in the sample. Same column names, same capitalization. You could get the elevation numbers from Google Earth or if you don't care about its elevation alignment that much you could use the numbers from the processed map that you get by hovering over the same points you choose from the basemap in the processed map.

I should have added that the points should be on the ground and spread throughout the map area as the article suggests. Maybe the 4 corners and the middle or something. Not the tops of the buildings.
