Trimming on location maps

I have a location with a number of maps that overlap at their edges, making the transitions rather jarring. I can trim each map with the polygon tool, which trims it in the individual view, but the location map seems to ignore the trimming. Is there any way to make this work?

This has been on our To-Do list for a while. Looking at the Location Map in your account the plan we have for it wouldn't really help much. Your locations are all spread out all over the place (splitting it on the river looks cool though).

The trimming we have planned would be more to give a common trim boundary to multiple layers at the exact same location like in this sample:

So you are saying you want the custom trimming for each layer?

Really I just want the locations that overlap to look better. At the moment, whatever location is on top of the stack has its imagery shown where there are overlaps, and often that means that you get the distorted imagery from the very edge of its map, instead of the better imagery from further in on the neighbouring map. I want to be able to define a line where one map starts and the other ends.

We will look at seeing how we can do what we were already planning to do that might help your situation. We really do value the opinions of our Elite subscribers and try to meet their needs as best we can.

The automatic trimming setting that is enabled by default with every upload trims those distorted areas off nicely. You might have to adjust how much is overlapping between adjacent images but that might work for you too.
