Low altitude terrain aware flight

Can I map an area with MME that will allow creation of a DEM that can be used for terrain awareness? My goal is to then fly a low altitude transect out to a point and then return to the start point. Can this be done and result in high resolution photos of the path flown?

Yes, this is recommended when flying below 10 meters or so. Fly high and use the SRTM terrain awareness to get the general shape. Be sure to use 80% overlap. Then process the data. Once it is processed that map's DEM can be used as the terrain data source for lower flight. You would use a two pass linear mission to do your actual flying.
