Mavic Air 2 connection problem

Apologies if this is a Noob issue, but I can not get Map Pilot Pro to work with my Mavic Air 2 AT ALL. I haven't even been able to get it to connect to the aircraft, let alone fly any missions. The supported hardware list includes the MA2 and the top update on my dashboard says: "Our new Virtual Stick mode has been released and Map Pilot Pro now officially supports the Mavic Air 2... Any aircraft can use this new mode." I've searched the questions forum and haven't been able to find any description on how to activate Virtual Stick mode. When attempting to connect to the aircraft, I've been performing the following steps: Power-on MA2 and Controller, Open DJI Fly app to confirm connection and satellites, close DJI Fly app, Open Map Pilot Pro app, Open Saved Mission Plan. Connection always times out. I have alternately closed the DJI app AFTER opening the MPP app with identical results.

The most frustrating aspect of this issue is that by the time I'm able to actually test MPP, my trial period will likely have expired.

It sounds like you are having issues establishing a connection.

You have to be using 5.4.0 to have the new features. If you are using a Mavic Air 2 you don't have to do anything to select Virtual Stick mode since that is all it supports.

Please note that the Mavic Air 2S is not supported yet. Just making sure...

What happens if you just go to New Mission instead of opening a Saved Mission Plan?

Was the Mavic Air 2 camera selected when you planned the missions without the connection to the aircraft?

Another thing to make sure of is that the first time you open Map Pilot Pro you have internet. The app has to register with DJI after it is installed. This only happens once but you can't connect until this occurs. Please send a screenshot of what you are seeing.
