Tag Pilot crashes when placing tag

Hello,

Using build 1.4.5 082320213 via M210 with XT2.

When dropping a tag the app briefly flashes unable to download elevation tile(or something to that effect) then crashes, tagging via XT2 onscreen window does not respond at all, we also get an error when trying to load terrain tiles.

We have deleted and reinstalled app, tried across multiple ipads and phones also going offline via aeroplane mode i have run out of ideas, can you advise any suggestions please.

Thank you

Not having the terrain downloaded for that area will cause issues in tagging. Are you downloading the terrain ahead of time by clicking 'Load Terrain' and then selecting areas you want to download? They should show as orange rectangles when the are cached. Once they are cached you should be able to operate at that location while offline.

Are you using a 3rd basemap URL for caching the basemap tiles?

What iOS version and iOS device type? We haven't updated Tag Pilot in a pretty long time.

Hi Zane,

Yes we download terrain data prior to deploying, when we select area, double tap and download we get an error notification:

Terrain Error

unable to perform terrain request please check network connection.

We are currently in our staging area with good network connection.

No 3rd party base map, but we have tried the default mapbox and ArcGIS link with no result.

ipad 6th gen. IOS 15.2(same issue with previous build before updating to current)

ipad air 4th gen. IOS 15.2

Regards

John

What are the coordinates for the area you are trying to download? Also, clear out the 3rd party URL text from the settings. If it is an invalid URL it could be causing issues trying to access that data.

Hi Zane,

We have it sorted now, was an issue with migrating a change to our login details, once the new account became active everything went back to normal, thank you for your efforts.
