Camera storing photo error

Today I flew this linear mission and the notification "Camera storing photo error" showed up a looooot. According to the app out of 222 images, only 152 were captured. I tried different settings for the sd card writing speed from 2 sec/image up to 3 sec/image. I am using a SanDisc Extreme Pro U3 SD Card. It was empty when I started the mission. Do you have any suggestions what went wrong?

That error comes directly from the camera and means that it isn't able to store the image, usually because it is still busy. Your instincts are correct, you could try slowing it down more but that isn't optimal.

SD cards say all sorts of stuff on them but that has little bearing their ability to write files quickly. Some kinds of cards just don't work well with the DJI cameras.

Other tips include starting with a freshly formatted card and benchmarking your card to know what settings to use.

The best way to test this is by using the Intervalometer feature in the DJI app. If it can't write a file every X seconds in there it isn't going to work in Map Pilot. Benchmarking your card so you know what it is capable of WITH YOUR CAMERA is important.

Also, we always highly suggest doing the legwork to find genuine SD cards from reputable sources. The cards that come with the aircraft always work well. We sell ones that we know work well. There is just a TON of counterfeit stuff out there.

Hey, thanks for your help! I've just tried the interval settings and it worked out perfectly on a 2 second interval in DJI Go 4, no photo is missing, no camera storage error.
I firmatted the sd card in dji go 4 beforehand. Then I tried the same thing again in map pilot pro but I got the error message again. This error message showed up again. I gor the error straight away when starting the mission. The first image couldn't been taken which doesn't make sense to me. For the following images the error appeared again, so only a few images were taken. I am using a san disk extreme pro..

I have had the same issue on and off for some time now and have never found a good resolution in the forums. I tested my SD card a while back and it was as fast as it was supposed to be.

Some flights go totally fine but some flights skip lots of photos and I have to fly twice to fill in the gaps.

I have noticed it occurs much more when I am using terrain awareness on a very steep site. I even think it may be doing it more when there is a change of slope and it is reacting to drastically different terrain.

Any help would be very appreciated. Hoped the map pilot pro app would be better but still same issue

Hello,
I also have the same photo error problem. Yet the test by using the Intervalometer feature in the DJI app work perfectly. The card is sandisk extreme pro V30, U3 A2 - 64 gb, the capacity is well above what is required. Formatted before flight. I even selected in the setting 1 photo / 4 seconds. the drone is phantom 4 pro v2, everything is up to date. Even on a small flyover, and even without wind, I still miss a lot of photos. Do you have another idea please?
