One case is here in the northwest, I'm often tasked with flying up above the treeline to get an idea of which way they would like to place a new house to best take advantage of the view.. the trees will later be trimmed to accommodate. I need a better way, other than eyeballing the drone, to know the actual bearing that the camera is facing.
Ha! You took too long... We already put it in. We were doing some quick fixes to Tag Pilot to be submitted today and stuck it in there quickly.
Sweet! 👍
The new version with heading shows up in the app store now, but requires ios v.13, bummer.
My ipads that I use for flight are staying on ios 12 simply because they all work flawlessly. I did have a chat with the Litchi devs and they are considering my request to add the ability to display the craft heading in their app as well. So that will work and have camera control as well. The AR in TP is nice, though.
I'm curious what aspect of the new version of TP requires ios 13? I use a manned aviation app (FlyQ) that also incorporates AR and works great on ios 12.
Some of our internal libraries have all been updated with libraries that only support 13 and up. Very soon lots of things will start being 14 and up so I would start getting ready for that. The changes in 13 and 14 are pretty huge and developers aren't going to be able to drag the old version along much longer even if they wanted to.
Will do. I only use the pads for flight, uas and manned. So, if the apps I use require updating, I will have no choice. So far, the manned apps are still at requiring v.11 The uas apps are also requiring v.11 except for TP. Will any new versions of MP require v.13? Currently it's still v.11, correct?
Every release of all of our apps moving forward will likely be iOS 13 and up.
Map Pilot Pro will be the first Map Pilot release that has the updated requirement.
