Simulator IAP Conflict.

Maps Made Easy, Simulator IAP Conflict. I was trying to do a mapping mission today and I keep getting this error Simulator IAP Conflict Mission only possible with current settings in simulation mode.

That warning comes up when you are using features (Terrain Awareness and Linear Mission planning) you haven't purchased yet so you can't fly outside with it but you can use the simulator to evaluate them.

The system does give any information on how to correct this. I was trying to do a flight today and I was unable to complete it. This is poor design on your part. If an error message comes up there should be information on to correct it.

In order to use either of those features you would have had to skip over the Buy or Restore and click on the 'Preview/Simulator Only' button.

We will make the IAP Conflict warning more explicit in the future.

I am also getting this error and want to reiterate how confusing this is. I did not intentionally activate any advanced features. Based on this thread, it may be because I was fiddling with the altitude and exceeded some freebie limit. In that case, clicking 'No Thanks' should put the value back to whatever the allowable limit is, instead of sending a person down this cryptic path.

Perhaps that's what 'Restore' is meant to do? But whenever I click that the app completely crashes.

Either way I did not try to do anything with the Simulator and this error message is not at all helpful.

Terrain Awareness is an Advanced Feature. You have that active so you can't take off to actually fly using it until the feature is paid for.

You can hit 'Preview/Simulator Only' to see what the feature does or fly in the simulator with it but you have disable it when it comes time to fly. You can do this by tapping the 'Terrain' button again so it is not highlighted orange.

The 'Restore' option is for restoring purchases made from the App Store after a fresh installation.

The problem is, that the app recommends using Terrain Awareness as a pop-up choice before flight. So it's easy for a user to say yes to this recommendation and then be puzzled why flight is disabled. It should either not be offered as a popup, or the error message should say something more like your response here, instead of the current cryptic message.
