Problems Map Pilot Business version 4.1.5

I have just installed map pilot 4.1..5 and regret doing this as whilst the app booted the first few times, it took progressively more and more attempts to successfully boot the app to the point it does not boot at all now. Up to v 4.1.2 the app worked flawlessly, but the last couple of versions have been a disaster as regards reliability and stability. Map tile downloading is slowww, whereas this has never been the case in the past. IOS 13 has not helped. Note the following:

- no other apps are open

- the device has been connected to a P4 ready for flight

- ipad is 6th generation

MP Version 4.1.6 has been promised which will hopefully address these issues but is not as yet available on the Appstore. HELP!

We are glad to hear you got it sorted out. It sounds like you may have had some weird/old missions saved or something and it wasn't converting them properly. It should have been fine coming from 4.1.2 though.

The startup splash screen should be the same as before, just with the updated number. Not sure what is going on there but we have seen cases where the Maps Made Easy logo does not display properly after deleting and reinstalling. Usually doing it again fixes the issue.

By way of update, I deleted the app and reinstalled. Whilst all my historic flight data has been lost (unfortunately), the app now works fine. The startup screen is different too in that the version reference (4.1.5) no longer appears so it seems there may be an issue with the the updater which is creating a conflict (you might want to be aware of this issue). Map tile upload is now superfast too; the app enhancements make a great improvement.

Thanks for the response Zane - I think it was the accumulation of old missions which was the problem. I do notice that as missions are added app instability does start creeping in incrementally so whether it is this or time I'm not sure. Also that without the old missions map tile upload for new missions is quick, although speed seems to decay slightly as new missions are loaded. Maybe old and historic mission management for this app is a matter to be mindful of.
