Map Pilot will not likely support the Mavic Mini. The Mavic Air isn't really suited to mapping and we doubt the Mavic Mini will be any better. We will test it when we get our hands on it and go from there.

Ah, thats really disappointing to hear. I work for a college research department and we are really excited about the Mavic Mini release. Where we are in Canada you need a license to fly anything above 250g, as Im sure you know. So we want to be able to have the mapping functionality of Map Pilot with the Mavic Mini so that we can use these units for instructional purposes, as it allows students without a license to be able to fly.
We are really hoping that you change your mind on the Mini.

Cheers

We have had WAY too many customers be unhappy with the maps they get back from us using the Mavic Air. If it is decent we will support it. Until we see the data it is too early to know how good or bad it will be.

I'd also like to upvote mavic mini support.

From what I can tell the sensor would be similar to the Phantom 3 and Phantom 4 (original).

I tend to process with Agisoft or Pix4D each of which deal with rolling shutter correction, but love the MapPilot App so please support the drone in the APP even if you don't want to process the images in your map engine.

But I agree no matter how it's processed the results won't be as good as the better/bigger sensors.

Any progress on this now that the new SDK is out that appears to enable waypoints on the Mavic Mini?

I've been using a different automated drone pilot software on the iPad and then uploading the images from my Mavic Mini.

The results are acceptable for my purposes. But you need to really ramp-up the overlap to beyond 85% for useful output from the stitching system Maps Made Easy is using.

I would much rather have a more seemless process by using the MME software instead of the work-around I am using now. If anything, it would be nice to just have a nice disclaimer that says "while the Mavic Mini may produce less than ideal results and that you can't blame us if it turns out bad, recommend ramping up the overlap!"
