New issues with Inspire 1/Zenmmuse XT - camera alignment + ground footprint

Hi there

Have been using the app very successfully for around 15 months with Inspire 1 + Zenmuse XT. Had not flown in this configuration since end of June 2019, and since restarting flights late September, have recurrent issues as follows:

1) App does not show ground footprint (green polygon) as it did in the past

2) Camera alignment often changes during flight by up to 45 degrees

I have the latest version of TAG Pilot (1.3.2), and everything works just fine with DJI Go, so I am wondering whether the issues are due to the newer version of the app since I last used it reliably....please help!

This same issue is being discussed in the thread linked below and we suspect that it is a firmware issue. We are seeing some large yaw offsets that accumulate between the aircraft's orientation and that of the gimbal. We are using YawFollow mode so the two should be aligned.

Hi guys

Used the app last Friday (29.11) and it looks different - the issues 1) and 2) have been resolved (which is great), but unfortunately now I have lost the option for radiometric JPEG! - any chance of restoring that please? Thanks.....

Is your camera an XT or and XTR? Only XTR cameras will take radiometric JPG images.

What do you mean by "lost the option"? No changes were made to the control that lets you select which format to use. Can you please send a screenshot of what you are seeing and give us a better description.

Changes that were made for iOS 13 might have made the colors hard to see but the button is still there. You might need to switch it to dark mode in order to see it of you can tap where the button used to be. We will fix the coloration issue in the next release.
