Elevation issue in MME

Hi folks,

I know there was previously an issue with Mavic 2 Pro altitude, but that has been fixed now.

At this stage, I do have a problem with ELEVATION in the MME map output -- here are the details:

I have a map called "Nicklin Way Small Feb 17". It was planned and flown with the Map Pilot app.

All images had the correct altitudes, and I did upload a ground image. The images input are original -- there has been NO editing of EXIF or any other data  --  the images have not been manipulated in any way...  all straight from the SD Card on the aircraft

The elevation on the processed output looks to be very wrong.  I have only looked at the Point Cloud (Point Cloud XYZ RGB (TXT) )    and the KMZ (3D Google Earth (KMZ)) files, and the elevations in these are approx 91.xxx  metres (feet?), when in fact, it should be approx 1 metre.

Either way, it looks very strange -----  the elevation on the actual site of this map is definitely in the region of -1  to  +2 metres, so the results from MME are throwing me way off.

The KMZ file ,when imported to Google Earth, shows the map hovering above ground (at 91 metres?).

Can you please give me some guidelines on this.....   I am really desperate to get this resolved.

thanks,

Mike

Your job exposed an issue in our code that occurs when the Mavic 2 Pro is used AT sea level. It has been fixed and this job has been rerun.

Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Hi folks,

that's looking significantly better now, but still a problem (a new one).....

I have only looked at 2 files, the .KMZ file, and the TXT Point Cloud file.

The KMZ file does NOT work at all.....  I cannot import it into Google Earth... (tried on 2 different computers) -- the previous KMZ file was OK in that it imported to Earth, (but elevations wrong of course)

The point cloud looks significantly better, but a few of the points seem to be a little high... this may not be an issue, but 8 metres seems a little high for this site (granted, there were ONLY 3 at 8 mtrs, out of 181,821 entries, so it's most likely OK....

The KMZ file isn't though, I will assume that all the other files are OK.

thanks,

Mike
