Map Gone Funny?

My newest map did not turn out.  I think something rendered funny.  Even the overlap report at the bottom of the screen is wacky.... I can see my flight and camera points, but no images.  I believe my exif tags are good and I did not sense any abnormalities when entering my imagery.

The image I received is not scaled correctly and looks warped.  Please let me know.

The map is called 20180803 MJB SRW.  Thank you.

Cheers,

Ray

It looks like you uploaded two separate and non-adjoining areas. The covered area must be contiguous for the system to process it successfully. This is noted in the Data Collection guidelines.

Hi Zane,

Explain to me where my data set went awry?  While I understand that the system won't process correctly if the area is not contiguous, my data set was  flown and submitted as one (supposed to be).  I've flown this job numerous times (see examples in my data set) using similar flight patterns that I saved in Map Pilot.  Why did it work all those other times and this time it did not?

Could we just have an example of bad processing? Help!

Okay... So I spent some time looking at my submitted photos.  The overlap seam (at the overpass) is likely not sufficient to qualify as a continuous data set?  I can see a few common matches, but the images are likely only 35% overlap?

I examined my saved flight paths from Map Pilot.  I can not explain why my other missions worked and this one did not?

Please look at your Overlap Report. The dots get drawn according to the GPS locations at which the images were taken. You will see two separate (non-contiguous) missions were uploaded. Maybe you just uploaded two separate missions as one by mistake?

If it was two separate missions that overlap slightly it is possible they were not joined at all due to differences in lighting conditions, which is something that lots of overlap can fix.

So my UAV is giving me bad GPS tags?  IT could happen... but I've taken many many photos with my bird and this is the first time I've had bad tags.  Your right Zane, the overlap report shows the two areas not joining.

All the questions that are asked as one submits photos were true and good.  I did not proceed with bad tags and the image shown is where it was flown.

I guess I need to get over the fact that my UAV screwed up the tags.  I've done this mission many times with no issues, flying the exact same everything.

I will just have to re-process each side as separate jobs.
