JPG-R setting

Have been using the app for a few weeks with my Inspire 1 and Zenmuse XT. Generally it works quite well, with one exception - even though I apply the JPG-R image setting before or during flight with the app, the pictures I actually get are standard JPEGs, not radiometric JPEGs. Have tried setting JPEG-R in DJI GO app prior to opening Tag Pilot, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.....

Any ideas on how to solve this one?

Hi there

I purchased the thermal features as an in-app purchase (I live in the UK, so purchased the camera locally). I did pay $500 however!

Was your camera purchased from Drones Made Easy or did you puchased the thermal features as an In App Purchase in Tag Pilot?

In that case your camera is connecting properly to the app. Are you using the Radiometric variant of the XT? Non radiometric cameras cannot take radiometric images.

If you are continuing to have problems please email mapping@dronesmadeeasy.com.

Thanks for the quick response. My XT is the "performance version" (quasi-radiometric, rather than the XT-R which came out a bit later. In the DJI GO App I am able to shoot JPG-R and view the radiometric images, for example in FLIR Tools. I'm not a software engineer, but I would imagine that if the DJI Go App can allow me to capture radiometric images on the memory card, there shouldn't be any real difference to the signal from the TAG pilot app to the camera to produce the same results?

Any further info you could give would be very helpful! - thanks

It won't allow that mode if you aren't on a Radiometric camera.

DJI can do lots of things that we can't especially when it comes to the XT cameras...

Please send us the full part number and spec for the camera and we can try to look into adding it.

Good news!

When checking the specs of the camera for the post below, I noticed there was a SW update from DJI (Zenmuse XT Firmware V01.31.0.00 (Inspire 1))

Having installed this and carried out a test flight today, the JPEG-R setting works perfectly. So, sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase, but maybe this will help someone else who was in the same situation as me!

Thanks for the quick support on this post :-)
