Initial Settings Page explanations

I have tried a multitude of searches and come up with nothing so far.

When Maps Made Easy is first opened there is a page with six icons. (New Mission, Mission Plans, Settings, File Manager, Quick Map, Upload to MME).

Opening "Settings" brings up another page with a variety of items listed.

Is there a description of these items anywhere? Some are self explanatory, but some not so much. For example, what does "Victory Lap" do? What is the useful purpose of "RTH Offset"? What does "Auto Clear Image Points" do?

If there is a description, or video somewhere I would really like a link or key words to search for!

Any help would be truly appreciated!

Sorry for the delay on that. We will add a full article for this that has all the links to the other stuff. Good idea!

For the specific things you mentioned:

Victory Lap - This adds a lap around the perimeter of the survey area with the camera pointing straight down. This helps to fill in the overlap on the edges which is inherently thinner than the central portions. It is good to use for smaller maps and when you are using lower overlap values.

RTH Offset - It is set to 10 meters by default which would add 10 meters to the programmed flight height in the case of Return to Home events such as the battery getting low or hitting the RTH button on the remote.

Auto Clear Image Points - As the aircraft flies and takes images it draws small grey dots on the map where images have been taken. These eventually can accumulate to take up quite a bit a memory and can slow things down on older devices. Enabling this setting will make the dots automatically disappear after 30 seconds. The dots are there to let you know that the camera is imaging properly but don't serve much long time use so this is OK to check if your device can't handle having all of the dots showing.

We will try to get a full article up for this in the coming days.
