Would you care to share what version of the remote you were using and what version of the app was used so others can follow your example?
After a number of teething problems, I managed to have two successful multi-battery missions with my Mavic 2 Zoom and Map Pilot Pro on a DJI Smart Controller yesterday. The only thing that did not work correctly was the photo download function, but I just manually moved the photos off of the Mavic 2 storage card when I got home for upload to mapsmadeeasy for processing.
I'm very pleased because wrestling with the iPhone was a pain and battery life on the old controller is not great.

I believe that this is the first version of the smart controller that DJI released. It's running Android 7.1.2 and system version is V01.01.0076.
Map Pilot Pro is at release level 2.4.0b build 112020241.
With regard to the photo download...it appears to download all photos, then starts the second phase of the process, which quits midstream. The app then shows the correct number of photos for upload to MME, but each is blank.
Thanks for that. What is the model of the remote that is on the label on the back?
The photo upload thing is pretty touchy and barely works with normal mobile devices. I wouldn't expect that remote to be able to maintain a solid WiFi connection and do that very well. Uploading from the SD card on a computer is the way to go.
Sorry for the delay in responding. Model number is RM500.
In the spirit of full disclosure, the Map Pilot Pro app is finicky on this oldie-moldy controller. The slider bars don't want to slide and button response is often delayed. But...it's still easier to handle than my iPhone on the old controller. I'll try it for a while and then decide whether to go back to the supported platform. I can't recommend that others attempt this.
Wow! Just upgraded to 2.4.2b of Map Pilot Pro and everything that I was moaning about is fixed. Keys are responsive, sliders slide easily and the mission operation is flawless. I'm well and truly impressed with your support. My oldie-moldy DJI Smart Controller with Map Pilot Pro is now prime time with my Mavic 2 Zoom. This will make mapping the East Keswick Wildlife Trust fields so much easier.
Ha! We would love to take credit for being so on top of things but, sadly, we didn't do anything to fix any of those issues in the releases between 2.4.0 and 2.4.2! The slowness must have been an issue with other apps running in the background or something else going on with the device.
We are glad to hear it is working better for you but the reality is that is was something on your end. You fixed it!
It's possible that the update acted like a "repair" of the install. It sure worked well today. Now I'm struggling with GCPs and rereferencing, but that's an issue for another forum.
