The standard Apple Maps and Google Maps scales only display in the top right of the map which is a very busy area in the Map Pilot Pro layout and it only shows when zooming so it isn't super useful so we don't display it.
A small addition to Map Pilot Pro would be to display (optionally) a scale on the map when panning a mission (like you have on the lower-right Google Maps/Bing Maps/Apple Maps. Such a scale would be useful when mapping where the basemap quality is low or out of date. The displayed width/height bounding box measurement of the current flight path helps but cannot replace a true scale bar with sensible values. Thanks.

I wasn't thinking about the scale bar provided by those API, but building your own is obviously more work for a rather small feature. And yes, overal, the Map Pilot Pro layout is alreay prettry crowded. I'll then continue to use the bounding box measurement as a guide. Thanks for your reply.
