Curved 3D Model

Hello.

I just processed a dataset which was flown yesterday 194 Images and the 3D model come out curved.... I flew this mission Multiple times and the result is the same, it is the first time that I ever had this issue

DJ Air 2S and using standard settings as per the drone model in the mission planner (First time the system has also forced me to reduce my overlap from 80% to no more than 75%

I do not see any processed maps in your account. Was this map processed under another account? It was processed using some other software. We can’t be of much help.

The full grid mission is limited to 75% overlap because in a larger area that equates to having over 30 looks at everything. This is more than enough to process quality results. With your long skinny survey area shape you are not getting this coverage. It would’ve been better to do much tighter overlap and just do five or six passes on the long axis. Having it zigzag along that whole area is not going to be helpful.

Thanks For the response, you were correct, the Dataset was processed in WEBODM.

I have now also processed a dataset, which you will see in my Account: H5a WIM, you will notice that the 3D model is curved like a banana?, whereas this section of the highway is as flat as can be

Can you guys please look into this. Flight Mission was automated in Map Pilot Pro.

A mission of this shape is not a good candidate for doing a full Grid mission.

From my previous response:

"It would’ve been better to do much tighter overlap and just do five or six passes on the long axis. Having it zigzag along that whole area is not going to be helpful."

Instead of doing 2 passes along the long axis and then zigging back and forth it would be better to 5-6 lengthwise passes using the Linear mission type at a higher overlap.

Thank Zane.

I will try and redo one of these and see if it helps
