Drone does not start

Hello, I fly a DJI Phantom 4 pro 2. Before I fly, I calibrate and check everything in the DJI Go4 app. I then open the map Pilot pro app and want to start my mission. Unfortunately, it happens again and again that the drone doesn't take off when I click on Start. After I restart the app up to 6 times, it eventually works. There are supposedly enough satellites otherwise I wouldn't be able to fly in the DJgo app.

A couple of things here…when you open the DJI app there’s no need to calibrate the drone unless you see an error message that the aircraft has fallen out of calibration. Only open the app to respond to any DJI geofencing authorizations, check camera settings, start then stop the aircraft. The drone is now primed and ready to fly, something that the MPP app can’t do.

Next step is to hard close the DJI app, don’t leave it running in the background (…this is important) Open the MPP app and wait for it to recognize your aircraft. When it does, you should be ready to execute the mission.

Thanks for the input Elliot, that is a good set of steps to take. The ability to fly with Map Pilot Pro and automated flight and the ability to fly with the DJIgo app requires quite different things. You can take off with as little as 5 satellites of GPS fix or less depending on your flight mode. Map Pilot Pro requires at least 8 sats to show the red triangle but at least 10 to take off. So check that. The more the better. So make sure you have a good solid GPS fix before taking off. It may help to move away from obstructions, for safety and for signal strength reasons.
