DJI Mini 2 not landing after the mission is finished

I am currently running Map Pilot Pro version 1.7.3a, it used to work fine on my Google Pixel 6a, but after updating to a Samsung Galaxy S24 and the latest update for Map Pilot Pro something went wrong and after finishing the mission the drone remains hovering and there is no way to make it land, I have to close the app and open DJI Fly to force the landing.

We will look into this issue. If the aircraft is right overhead you could either exit the programmed flight by toggling the flight mode on the remote and landing manually or hit the RTH button on the remote.

I have the same problem with a mini 3. It beeps at the end of the mission and hovers without landing. If I toggle mode "sport" then "Normal" again, I can land it manually, BUT the app says "More flights are needed to complete the mission" ... and no photos are taken ... but it may be another issue.

Please up to the latest version. You are on 1.7.3 and the latest is 1.9.0. Lots of changes have been made since then.

Finally, after having downloaded the software V 1.9.0b according to the support's recommendation, on mini3 everything works perfect.

Thank you to the efficient and swift support!

I have updated to the new version 1.9.1a and the problem remains with my DJI Mini 2 and my Samsung Galaxy S24, after finishing the mission the drone remains hovering above the home point and I have to close the app and switch to DJI Fly to be able to land it

Luis: On your most recent flight you got 42 "strong wind" warnings. It looks like as it was transitioning to land the automated flight mode was exited by the aircraft due to these warnings.

Make sure you are keeping an eye on the Aircraft Errors panel and only operating when it is safe to do so. Strong winds are not safe to operate in, especially with a light weight Virtual Stick aircraft.

At any time on those aircraft you can manually fly the aircraft using the sticks. Any stick input will override the automated flight. And if that doesn't work, there is always the RTH button.

No, there were no strong winds during the flight, I did check AUV Forecast before flying, and the average wind speed is 4 m/s with 7m/s gusts. I got the message from Map Pilot about the mission being complete and the drone went back to the home point, but it did not initiate landing, it remained hovering and the remote control became unresponsive.

The RTH does not work from Map Pilot once this issue is present, because you need to be away from the home point to able to initiate the return to home feature, I have tried it multiple times.

I can only see what the log file shows. It can be far more windy up high than you experience on the ground.

The RTH button on the remote should always work, that is its job.

We will look into why it might not have transitioned to the landing mode but it likely has something to do with those winds.

Today I gave it another try by flying at a lower height this time, to avoid any high winds, even though the wind speeds were reported UAV Forecast to be 3 m/s average with gusts of up to 6 m/s, it finished the mission, it went back to the home point and remained hovering, like in the previous missions, and the RTH button in the app would not start landing, but the R/C was still responsive, so moved the drone away from the home point and started the RTH with the R/C button and it landed thanks to the R/C, but not from the app like it used to.

Are you 100% sure you have all other drone related apps fully closed at the time of Map Pilot Pro operation?

Yes, the only other drone app I have installed in my S24 is DJI FLy, and it was closed
