DNGs straight out of the DJI drone (Mavic 3 Classic)
then converted the DNGs to JPGs, regaining all original metadata - same result
no recognition problems with DroneDeploy or Microsoft ICE
The DJI workflow needs the XMP tag segment to be intact which is hard to do well when converting from RAW images. You say "all original metadata" but the XMP is not likely present.
You can still use the Classic workflow which only relies on EXIF tags.

Still encountering trouble with Classic Workflow.
I can see the GPS coordinates and altitude are present in JPG metadata.
Email one of the images mapping@dronesmadeasy.com so we can take a look.
We are going to compare the tags with a normal JPG using this site if you want to compare it yourself.

That first one has a ton of junk in it. It says Photoshop and Lightroom and Microsoft and Hewlett Packard in there. The XMP is completely trashed (which shouldn't matter for the Classic workflow).
The second one doesn't look too bad. Not sure why that one isn't working. Send it via email so we can take look.
We try to block certain softwares that mangle the tags. Photoshop and Lightroom get blocked.
There are some settings in the software that make it so it doesn't add their own tags. Find those. There are a couple of threads here that discuss it.
