One more decimal place on the Ground Control Points

Is there any chance we could get one more decimal place for the ground control points in the x,y,&z directions? In other words the Latitude and Longitude to 7 decimal places and the elevation to 3 decimal places.

Neil,
We process up to 8 so it will accept the first 8 you enter. We just don't show all of them in the table because it takes up too much space. That being said, you are talking about placing GCPs with centimeter precision. Without $100K in gear this isn't likely possible. More numbers doesn't mean more accuracy. Please don't expect real world centimeter precision out of ANY consumer aerial system or photogrammetric modeling solution.

Recognising this post is over two years old, it is still important to mention the following...

I think it is possible to achieve close to centimeter precision with sub100K gear. In fact the new single frequency, multi constellation Emlid ReachRS (USD$799) has been very popular with the UAV market for GCP and QCP mapping.

An example of the comparison between Emlid's Reach and traditional survey grade rtk gear can be found here: https://community.emlid.com/t/testing-reach-against-survey-grade-equipment/6857/8

With the ReachRS, I've been achieving +-25mm when connected to a CORS VRS ntrip correction in RTK mode.

Cheers, Alistair.
