How to add multiple layers to same area?

Hi all,

So what if I want to scan the same area every month, how can I layer all those scans over one map? And how can I customize the layer names?

Check out the "how to" guide here:
http://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/207455313-Creating-a-Location-Map

This feature is called a Location Map. You can create one by going to the "Locations" entry in the navigation bar and pressing the "New Location" button.

From there, you can add whatever basemaps and layers you want by dragging the boxes with the names of the layers from the left to the right. Once they are on the right, you can shuffle the order however you would like them to be displayed as well. When finished, hit the "Save Location Map" button to be able to view it. The layers and order of them can be modified later by using the same dragging of the boxes.

Do you have a example of layers when showing every month scans for example? Does it show what's changed or deltas?

The timeframe is obviously dependent on the user. Your layers could be days, weeks or years appart.  It's up to you.

No, there is no analysis done comparing the point clouds of subsequent flights.  You would need to do that yourself in other software.

Dave, thanks for your reply. Can you suggest software to compare two flights and see what's changed? and what data files I would need from MME? Will QGIS Do this? Sorry I am a novice.

It depends on what you are trying to compare from scan to scan. (Note, I am calling collecting photographs for the purpose of photogrammetry "scanning")

For a start, have a look at Cloud Compare.  It is an open source application.  An introduction to comparing point clouds in general can be found at the link below.  From MME, you would use the .las file for working in Cloud Compare.

EDIT: haha, posting at the same time!

Dave Thanks. The video you included is of snow skiing? Did you mean to include a Cloud Compare video? I have Cloud Compare and will try it.

No, sorry about that.  Too many tabs open.  Try it now.  Yes.  It is about CloudCompare.
