Is the new Inspire 1 Firmware v.1.5.0.30 supported for use?

Make sure you are following the directions in these two articles:

Restarting the iOS device after doing these has fixed things too we hear. It seems that the DJI SDK gets linked to the Go app by default and you have to play with it a bit to get it to go. Once you get it it doesn't seem to have any problems after.

We haven't tested it yet but the reports we have had have said it works well. The same is true for the Phantom 3.

Ok thanks, I guess we will give it a try.

Am I right that it now requires you to takeoff and load the mission first or is that fixed again now?

Yes. There has never been a publicly released version that automatically takes off since DJI removed that capability from the public versions of the firmware.

We have had some connection issues since the update. Even following the usual trial of going into DJI GO then closing it hasn't work sometimes and requires a complete reboot to get it to recognize. Will report if it continues to be a problem

There is a new SDK update that they posted recently and we are working to update the app to use that. They very likely go hand in hand. We are hoping it will fix the other connection issues people were having.

i did another test on the location of the mission but cold not link.
back home it linked again once.
my strategy was normal start up with GoP in P-mode do an initial start motor and stop motors- set to F-mode leave GoP app and immediatly open MmE app, it connected once. but not afterwards.
My total quit of GoP app is: centre ipad botton=leave GoP app / pull out cable to RC. When attach cable again, pop-up [trust this comp] appears / open MmE app
My MmE app : 1.3.2 build011416
App GoP 2.5.1 / AC 1.5.00.30 / RC 1.5.70 / cam 1.5.00.30
