Saved missions download

Is it possible to download some of the saved missions in the app as a kmz to share flight plans with clients?

The saved missions are in a file that is accessible to the user via iTunes. It is called flights.pList. The coordinates of the waypoints are all in there and the data can be turned into a KML file fairly readily.

Flights that are flown have log files that are accessed the same way. The data is a CSV file that can be plotted a lot of different ways. We are working to add support for it to our Log Viewer page: www.mapsmadeeasy.com/log_viewer

Offering a way to save the mission as a KML isn't a bad idea though... We will put that on the list.

What's the easiest way to turn the list into a KML while we wait on the feature?

"The ability to covert log files to KML was added a few months ago."

Where can I access this?

And is this the best way to view the contents of the flights.pList file?  Can I edit this file to enter data for missions manually and upload it to the App via iTunes?

The contents of the flights.plist file aren't really all that useful for any other software since that is just an internal file. You can download the flight log files from iTunes as described in the link above and then use our Log Viewer ( https://www.mapsmadeeasy.com/log_viewer ) to covert to KML. Other services such as Healthy Drones do a really great job of doing the conversions too.

Bert: You can email the flights.plist file to your computer and load it on another device using iTunes. The saved base maps won't transfer (since that  is against the source data's licensing agreement) but the flights will.

It would be nice to have a kind of share feature or easy way to sync the data with other i-pads.

Some users / customers don't have access to itunes etc on there computer , it's really hard to share on this way.

We are working on a feature for sharing individual flights directly from the app via email.
