Official comment
If any value other than "* Battery Limited" in the Battery Maximum Flight Duration Setting is selected, the aircraft currently will turn around and head for home when that value has been reached on the flight timer.
This will be changed in a future release to take the time of the return trip into account and land as close to the nominal value as possible.
