This feature has been added. You have to select the checkbox to enable the volume measurements at the time of upload. There is not currently a way to do it to jobs that have already been processed.
Any possibility of doing volume calculations in your Maps?
Would save having to use another (expensive) software program.

This feature is on the way. It will be web based and not cost anything for maps that are generated by Maps Made Easy.
Any idea of the time-frame for this ?
I have to decide on our software solution in the next month.
Cheers.
Soon. Very soon.
What units do people measuring big volumes use other than cubic meters?
Cubic meters is the only measurement I have seen used in any other software for volume. You could have imperial cubic feet for USA users...?
If possible perhaps show surface area.
The volume should allow for cut and fill, that is, volume above a selection or below a selection for excavations or dams.
I see a tweet about volumes now available using advanced tools.
How do we access the "advanced tools"?
Found it... have to process a new job
Soon enough for you? Let us know how it works. As you have found, it is an option that gets added on at the time of processing. There is not currently a mechanism to update jobs that didn't originally have it done.
My only issue so far is that once you see the result it is gone... Then have to mark area again to revisit result... Or am I missing something?
The only one I have tried so far has given a pretty good result as far as I can tell. So good job :)
Yes. The numbers are currently only available when that popup shows up. We will look at adding it to the annotation but that is a little more involved and won't be done soon.
