SD card Error DJI mini 3

When pressing the upload button in the map pilot pro app, I get this error: SD card ERROR  Storage location not set to SD card

Searching the forum here I did the following:
Cant find any setting for storage location in the dji fly app. But I can see the SD card size and it does function. And I did format it.
DJI fly is forced stopped, no other apps running
What have I missed?

DJI mini 3, ver 01.00.300
N1 controller, ver 04.16.0400
map pilot pro app ver 1.6.8e 10092023 (upgraded from 1.6.7e)
onephone+ 9 pro

Thank you for posting your full use specs. That cuts a lot of back and forth.

The error you are getting means that the aircraft is current set to save images to the internal storage. It needs to be set to store it to the SD card.

Switching to SD card for storage (do the opposite of what is shown here and set it to SD card):

Thanks for the super fast answer!

I do not have this setting, the video is about a mini 3 pro, is has much more internal memory.  Tried booth with the DJI fly app and the RC controller no luck ;)
any suggestions?

1.6.4e did upload, it gave an SD card Error message, altitude and terrain warning messages even though altitude was set to 80m. However it did fly the mission OK, but at reduced speed of 3.5 m/s.
Photos ok with some very close to each other.

Apparently there is something different about the Mini 3 vs the Mini 3 Pro that we aren't accounting for. We will try to address that in the next release.

The reduced speeds were likely due to the light based slowdown setting. There should have been a message about that.

Do you happen to know the exact text of the terrain and altitude warnings?

Great! When is next release  estimated?
Did screen recording to catch the messages again, see link below. Comments/questions below, No need to answer if you are busy.

Yes, reduced speed is due light base, is that in order to get good pictures? had that setting set, had the max speed set to 10m/s. does that give blurred pictures?

One message was terrain awareness, answer yes to that one got me into a menu that I did not know what to do....Answered No.

The other was Flight over maximum altitude, had to answer yes on that, otherwise nothing happens, see second video. Dont understand why, the mission plan is set to 80m, did not find any other setting..

We need to get our hands on a Mini 3 to test with it so it may be a few days. We will look at all of these weirdnesses. It is safe to use 1.6.4 until then.

If it asks you to adjust the maximum height that means that it asked the aircraft if there was a maximum height set and your flight would exceed that. It is safe to hit yes. The SDK reports some weird stuff there sometimes to the default is to ask you to raise it.

You can read about the light base speed adjustment here:

Apparently we are going to have a hard time getting one to work with. We will try to add a workaround to the next version that might go out tomorrow or Monday.

I installed the latest version of mappilot pro three days ago. I used it on the mini 3, updated, and the same problem occurred on the SD card. The phone is a galaxy M31. I will install version 164e to test.

1.6.9 is now available with a fix for this. We were unable to test it because apparently we can't get the Mini 3 anymore... But we removed the check for the SD card.

Goodnight. Thank you for the quick response. I installed 1.6.9. It is informed that the card has 0 space and asks to format it. Even if the request is fulfilled, the cycle repeats itself. Which prevents the process from completing.
I installed 1.6.4e, as per your previous guidance. As it is now night here, I will only do the flight test tomorrow.

I am also experiencing the same issue with my Mini 3. Just stuck in a endless format SD card loop. V 1.6.9e

Watching this post for updates.

Cheers

Apparently we need to test with this. The Mini 3 may lose support if its SDK support isn't going to be kept up to date by DJI. We hate having to add weird aircraft specific variances for SDK bugs.

I tried the .169pe version, mission ok
No SD card messages.
No message "Flight over maximum altitude"
There was the "terrain awareness" message, guess that is ok as there is higher ground  near by.
So from my point of view the problem is solved.
Thanks for very fast support!
