Inspire 2 - cropped images

Using Map Pilot, photos are always 4:3 aspect ratio for the X4S camera, not 3:2. The consequence is that 608 pixels in width are cropped out. I think Map Pilot is using the 3:2 width (5472) to plan the line spacing, as the side lap of the resultant flight lines does not agree with the percent selected during planning; side lap is inadequate for processing.

I've tried setting the aspect in DJI Go 4 app, just prior to flight, but this doesn't help. It apparently gets reset when the mission starts. Photos are always 4864 in width (4:3 aspect).

This is the same sensor used on the Phantom 4 Pro. Anyone know if the same problem occurs for it?

We have not done a lot of testing with the X4S other than to check that things nominally worked. The version that is currently released does not explicitly support the X4S anyway but we did just submit a new release with X4S support and it had no changes in this respect.

3:2, 5472×3648
4:3, 4864×3648

The P4P is collecting imagery in Map Pilot at 5472 × 3648 (just verified from uploaded samples). We have no X4S jobs posted yet and you don't have an account that we can find.

Until we get it fixed you can use more across track overlap that you normally would.

I just tried this with the latest release of DJI Go 4 and after setting images to 3:2 in the DJI app, Map Pilot resets it to 4:3. This is on the Inspire 2. I checked this back in September with the same results. When can we expect this issue to be resolved?

Map Pilot does not necessarily honor any settings made in DJI Go so don't assume that settings made there will be used in Map Pilot. That being said, the Inspire 2 should be using the full resolution of the camera.

We will try to get it into our next release.

Zane, Thanks for the update. Just to be clear this is the Inspire 2 with the X4S camera.
